OBD Matrix

An on-board diagnostic miniaturized tool that can be easily configured and connected to the diagnostic socket of your vehicle in order to log the parameters within all vehicle electronic systems. This device allows you to quickly analyse the data relative to over ninety hours of driving and allows you to easily identify all the electronic intermittent faults, that are difficult to reproduce in the workshop.

In case of sporadic and intermittent faults it is very difficult to reproduce, within the workshop, the combination of factors in which the fault occurred. Various tests will have to be carried out with the vehicle in motion: the technician will have to get in the vehicle with the diagnostic tool or with a laptop and carry out a series of test drives.

But even this procedure does not guarantee that the same fault will occur again during the period of time the test is carried out; this causes only problems and is a great waste of time for the technician.

OBD Matrix is the efficient, practical and professional solution to this problem: a small system that can be quickly configured and connected to the client’s vehicle, capable of logging up to eight parameters every second and storing any errors for up to 90 hours.

Thanks to its powerful miniaturized electronic board it is capable of diagnosing all the makes and models as well as all the electronic systems contained within the IDC4 software.

One of the fundamental characteristics of this device is its switchover matrix, that allows it to communicate with all the pins on the OBD connector automatically. It cannot however carry out activations or adjustments as it only operates in “acquisition” mode.

The OBD MATRIX becomes almost essential when certain analysis needs to be carried out;  for instance it can be useful when carrying out mass air flow analysis (to check the mass air meter), diesel fuel pressure analysis (to make sure it remains within the target pressure), boost pressure analysis (to check for faults connected with the boost pressure), or differential pressure analysis of the particulate filter. It therefore comes in very handy when parameters must be read with the engine loaded. Again the OBD Matrix is particularly convenient for the diagnosis of the automatic transmission system, when input and output transmission speed sensors must be checked, or for checking air conditioning system pressure sensors when, for instance, the refrigerant pressure parameter increases only while driving or under load.

OBD MATRIX is equipped with a cradle which is used to connect the device to a standard PC Windows, through which you will be able to carry out setting and data transfer operations.

All the technician will have to do is configure the OBD MATRIX based on the make, model and the specific electronic system she/he wishes to monitor and then connect it to the OBD socket of the vehicle.

This quick procedure takes about 2 minutes: once the specific electronic system the technician wishes to monitor is defined, she/he must connect the OBD MATRIX to the diagnostic socket of the vehicle and wait a few seconds for the device to recognize the control unit. At this point, the technician can put the device back on the cradle and select the parameters she/he wishes to monitor, based on the list that appears on the IDC4 screen. OBD MATRIX can then be installed on the vehicle and handed back over to the client.
When the client returns to the workshop, the technician will download the data that has been stored in the device onto the PC and can carry out sure-fire repairs on the fault.

Software IDC4

Just like all the other traditional systems that make up the TEXA range, OBD MATRIX uses the diagnostic software IDC4, the exclusive multi-make operating platform used by thousands of technicians around the world that provides access to complete information.

Thanks to the resources that the IDC4 software has to offer, OBD MATRIX works exactly like a workshop diagnostic tool.
Its database is constantly updated to include the latest vehicles on the market, and provides functions such as TGS2 and the exclusive “Solved Errors” powered by Google.
